CyberFlair Releases Healthy Hints 2.0 With Improved Commercial Features

Healthy Hints, the program that offers computer users access to health & safety information and reminds them to take regular computer breaks, now allows organizations to add their own health & safety details and corporate branding.

Whether you use a computer at work or at home, it is easy to lose track of time.  However, general health & safety advice recommends that taking frequent breaks can reduce the chance of health problems such as eyestrain, repetitive strain injury (RSI) and neck and back ache.  With the Healthy Hints program installed, it will detect your periods of computer usage and recommend when a break is due.

Improvements in this release include:

  • Users can now add Planned Breaks for specific times of the day that they are likely to take a break, such as lunch or home time.  These are used both as a general reminder and as information when a rest notification is displayed.
  • Organization's can add their own health & safety policy information to the main screen including an optional link to their on-line resources.
  • Organization's can add their title or logo to the main screen.
  • Installations on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 are now supported, enabling use within Remote Desktop session environments.
  • Settings can be controlled and locked remotely through the use of Group Policy Administration.  In addition to controlling program options, program buttons can be removed and the license key set.
  • Perform bulk roll-outs with silent or unattended installations.

Other features include:

  • Receive a 5 star achievement rating for keeping to your frequent breaks.
  • Option to suspend further break reminders should you be in the middle of some important work.
  • Access additional health and safety information about using computers, such as other environmental factors to consider including sitting posture and lighting.
  • Special Eco Mode option reduces program resources such as images and animations; useful on systems with limited resources or supporting multiple concurrent users.
  • Digitally signed product binaries gives better Windows integration and gives you the peace of mind that the software is legitimate and has not been tampered with.
  • A free edition is available for personal, non-commercial use.
  • A free fully-functional 14-day trial is also available.
