Objects

Everything that appears in your impression scene is based on an object.  These can either be a flat, 2D or solid, 3D.  The scene can also contain a special Light Object and Child Objects.

Object Properties

Each object has a collection of properties that describe how it looks and movies about the scene.  These properties are grouped into the following sections:

  • General Properties
Basic appearance such as position, size and shape.
For more information see the 'General Properties' topic.
  • Material Properties
How the object looks, such as it's color, texture, how it's affected by light and whether it has any special effects applied to it.
For more information see the 'Material Properties' topic.
  • Motion Properties
How the object moves into, within and out of the scene.
For more information see the 'Motion Properties' topic.
  • Text Overlay Properties
Whether there is text overlaid on to the object's location.
For more information see the 'Text Overlay Properties' topic.

Light Objects

A scene can have a single light source object.  These are not visible themselves but do effect how other objects are illuminated within the scene.  For more information see 'Lighting'.

Child Objects

This objects are special objects that are referenced by other objects.  This gives you the ability of creating objects that show a text overlay with differing backgrounds for the text parts of title, body and footer.  For more information see the 'Text Overlay Properties' topic.

Albums

Albums allow you to display changeable content within an object.  There are 2 types of albums:

  • Picture Albums
Defines a collection of picture sources for turning an object's material into a slide show.
For more information see 'Picture Albums'.
  • Story Albums
Defines a collection of text sources for displaying changing text within an object's Text Overlay.
